A collection of Fences: Part 1

For the past year, I have been making a lot of images in the landscape. I have come to find a large set of fences within this work. I started shooting fences a lot when I was photographing empty plots of land for my missing teeth series, and just found myself to be really attracted to them. I respond to the different representations they have, whether as aesthetic choices, use for safety and comfort, or what it is they are trying to prevent us from seeing.
